An overview of City College Plymouth.
•We are a large general further education college with over 18,000 students enrolled on our courses in any one year.
•We offer courses including traditional A level and GCSEs; vocational qualifications such as BTEC National Diplomas and the new 14 to 19 Diplomas, NVQs, Access to Higher Education and Foundation Degree courses, plus professional and bespoke training.
•Our Skills for Life portfolio includes basic literacy and numeracy, English for speakers of other languages (ESOL) and specific provision for students with learning difficulties and disabilities.
•Our Learning Support team are here to help students access the College. They provide additional support for specific needs when the student is at the College - individual support such as a signer or note taker, group support sessions that are course-based, plus help with accessing specialist equipment and funding.
•We are based on two main sites - Kings Road and Goschen, with two technology centres (Camels Head and Estover), The Learning Warehouse on Union Street, Martinsgate in the city centre and Picquet Barracks.
