Welcome

Newcastle-under-Lyme College (NULC) is a highly successful tertiary college in North Staffordshire, with pass rates and student success levels amongst the best in the country.

We offer a wide range of academic and vocational qualifications from entry to degree level, providing comprehensive support services for learners on those programmes.
NULC is committed to a policy of equality and diversity, inclusion and accessibility in the delivery of all our services.

The College has an open and welcoming policy towards applicants who may have a physical or learning disability or mental health issues and recognises the rights of all students to be treated equally regardless of disability.

In building our brand new £60 million Knutton Lane campus we have made all reasonable adjustments to our provision to ensure that anyone with disabilities, whether they be students, parents or visitors are able to make use of our facilities. We offer a wide range of specialist equipment and assistive technology, from Hearing Induction Loops to Super Nova Software as well as wide corridors for wheelchair access and accessible toilet facilities on all floors.

In addition to our inclusive approach in enabling to access the course that best meets their needs, we offer a range of discrete courses for young people and adults with learning difficulties/disabilities.

Comments from our 2007 Ofsted Report:

“The identification of, and provision for, additional learning needs is outstanding. Learning Support Assistants work well to ensure that supported learners gain the maximum benefit from lessons.”
